Aside from employment opportunities, the RM of Bengough No. 40 has hundreds of square miles that are hiding fossils of dinosaurs, petrified wood, leaves and marine life. The ideal setting to learn a great deal about Saskatchewan's past or biology.

Common Wildlife Sightings include: Coyote, Badger, Raccoon, Weasel, White Tail Deer, Mule Deer, Pronghorn Antelope, Red Fox, Cottontail Rabbit, Jack Rabbit, gopher, Lynx, Bobcat, many species of Hawks, Eagles, Turkey Buzzards, upland game birds and water fowl.
Representation from within each division of our Municipality is regulated by The Municipalities Act.
Ratepayers in the division are entitled to elect a Councillor, or run for Council themselves; provided they are a Citizen of Canada, 18 years of age, eligible to vote in the Municipality and a resident of Saskatchewan.
A councillor is responsible for the maintenance of transportation, safety and general well being of the ratepayers within his and her jurisdiction. Council has the responsibility for determining the mill rate of the Municipality that will provide council with the financial resources to maintain municipal infrastructure.
